How can we make water run uphill?
27th Mar 2023
Mr Corf and Team Dolittle have been finding about how ancient civilisations could get water uphill.
We made our own shaduf, which is a hand-operated device for lifting water, invented in ancient times and still used in India, Egypt, and some other countries to irrigate land. To operate the shaduf, the workers have to work together as a team to get the water uphill.
We showed our shaduf to the rest of the school.
